Sui Network Focuses on AI Agents with Mainnet 40 Million TPS Test and Enterprise Partnerships
Mysten Labs has revealed a suite of protocol updates and major enterprise integrations designed to establish the Sui Layer-1 blockchain as a primary rail for autonomous AI agent transactions. During a recent interview, leadership highlighted a 40 million TPS mainnet performance test alongside upcoming deployments with Samsung Mobile, Google Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud.

At a recent industry event, leadership behind Mysten Labs outlined how the Sui blockchain spent the bear market building infrastructure optimized for autonomous AI agents and automated micro-payments. Mysten Labs revealed that Sui recently conducted a stress test on its live mainnet combining simulated AI agent traffic with real-time human interactions, achieving a peak throughput exceeding 40 million transactions per second (TPS). Audited by third-party firm CertiK, the test leveraged Sui's object-based architecture, which processes independent transactions in parallel without relying on traditional single-ledger execution.
Enterprise Partnerships and AI Agent Infrastructure
To support high-frequency agentic commerce, Mysten Labs announced several key enterprise integrations. Samsung Mobile is incorporating Sui alongside Solana to power international stablecoin payments within Samsung Wallet, with a rollout planned before the end of the year. Additionally, Sui is collaborating with Google Cloud to launch a verifiable agent arbiter system that logs AI agent actions on Sui and its paired storage network, Walrus. Mysten Labs also detailed a payment protocol with Alibaba Cloud enabling agents to execute transactions within specified spending limits, while financial platform Hoody plans to bring on-chain trading of Asian equities to the network.
Security Features and Post-Quantum Safeguards
To mitigate security risks associated with automated smart contract interactions, the network is deploying Sui Threat Intelligence, an automated monitoring tool that delivers real-time risk scoring for transactions to detect potential exploits before human analysts can react. Mysten Labs also announced the rollout of post-quantum cryptographic signatures to its Devnet, aiming to make Sui post-quantum resilient without requiring users to migrate wallet funds to new addresses. Paired with zero-fee stablecoin transfers sustained by network yield mechanisms, Sui aims to solidify its position as a dedicated settlement layer for both human users and AI agents.
