American Fortress Unveils Multi-Chain Protocol for Private, Username-Based Crypto Transfers

Username-Based Privacy Across Blockchains

American Fortress is developing a multi-chain infrastructure designed to solve usability and privacy challenges in cryptocurrency transactions. Described during a recorded discussion with project lead Meow as a private alternative to traditional payment systems, the protocol replaces complex wallet addresses with custom usernames. Under the hood, the system uses one-way non-interactive cryptography to derive unique, counterparty-specific stealth addresses for each transaction. This design hides total wallet balances and transactional relationships across multiple networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Tron, Arbitrum, and Litecoin, without requiring changes to the underlying blockchains.

ZK Provenance and Compliant Privacy

To address safety and regulatory concerns around anonymous transfers, American Fortress integrates a zero-knowledge (ZK) proof of provenance. This mechanism cryptographically verifies that a sender holds control of their funding wallet, preventing address poisoning and unverified funds from entering counterparty balances. Furthermore, the platform introduces a feature called Safe Send, which routes funds through a shielded pool while preserving ZK provenance proofs. For institutions and compliance-conscious users, the system enables reusable, user-controlled KYC checks converted into post-quantum cryptographic proofs, allowing selective disclosure of identity details directly to counterparties.

Roadmap and Ecosystem Integration

Having raised $10 million in funding, American Fortress is deploying its technology as standalone desktop and mobile applications alongside a software development kit (SDK) for third-party wallets, including a MetaMask Snap integration. A public beta is currently accessible for testing ahead of a planned mainnet release in late November or early December, with an accompanying token generation event targeted for early November.
