Crypto Man Ran Outlines Top Altcoin Watchlist Ahead of Expected Market Dip
Crypto analyst Ran Neuner has warned that a market correction may be imminent as Bitcoin struggles at key resistance, advising traders to prepare buy lists for high-conviction altcoins rather than chasing rallies.

Macro Caution and Disciplined Execution
Speaking on a recent video broadcast, host Crypto Man Ran warned that the risk of a market correction currently outweighs potential upside as Bitcoin struggles to clear resistance between $83,000 and $85,000 on weekly charts. Expecting a potential 20% to 40% pullback typical of bull market cycles, Neuner urged traders to avoid chasing short-term price spikes and instead build structured buy lists with firm price targets ahead of upcoming macroeconomic catalysts, such as the latest U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) report.
Leading Infrastructure and AI Contenders
Highlighting high-conviction ecosystem plays, Neuner pointed to NEAR Protocol as a dominant token for the current cycle, citing its integration of post-quantum cryptography, AI agent capabilities, real-world assets, and private cross-chain swaps via NEAR Intents. The broadcast also focused on decentralized AI data providers, including Grass, which recently launched a live web API for real-time model retrieval, and physical data collector Kled AI, which is scaling past 500,000 users. In the interoperability sector, Wormhole surged on its integration with Securitize and its Sunrise gateway bringing cross-chain assets to Solana, while LayerZero remains a top candidate on Neuner's watchlist with a buy target around $1.40.
Emerging RWA and Layer-1 Watchlist Additions
In addition to major infrastructure protocols, the stream highlighted specialized real-world asset (RWA) projects and revived Layer-1 networks. Collector Crypt (CARDS) was presented as a high-revenue Solana-based play targeting physical trading cards, printing over $1 billion in cumulative volume. Meanwhile, Starknet founder Eli Ben-Sasson's decision to transition from an Ethereum Layer-2 to a quantum-resistant Layer-1 network was singled out as a strategic move to watch. Finally, Neuner added Sonic (formerly Fantom) to his personal buy list at a $0.03 target, emphasizing its low fully diluted valuation of roughly $234 million and refreshed leadership under CEO Matt Visser.
