# Collector Crypt CEO Highlights Solana's Edge in Tokenizing Trading Cards and RWAs

Collector Crypt is tokenizing physical Pokémon cards and collectibles on the Solana network to eliminate traditional marketplace friction and expand liquid trading. In a recent interview, the project's CEO discussed regulatory realities, the $CARDS token, and Solana's growing role in real-world asset tokenization.

Collector Crypt CEO Tuam outlined the project's push to tokenize real-world assets (RWAs) on the Solana network, focusing heavily on high-value trading card collectibles like Pokémon. Speaking in a recent video interview, Tuam explained that putting physical assets on-chain solves major pain points seen in traditional secondary markets such as eBay. By housing physical cards in secure vaults and issuing corresponding digital tokens on Solana, the platform enables borderless trading, instant settlement, and reduced transaction fees.

Addressing regulatory conditions and market structure, Tuam noted that physical collectibles like Pokémon cards operate outside traditional securities rules, though regulatory developments heavily influence Collector Crypt's native $CARDS token. Currently, protocol revenues and underlying platform treasury assets flow toward the foundation behind $CARDS, providing market exposure to the collectibles space while awaiting formal regulatory frameworks for tokenized equity. Tuam also highlighted international regulatory efforts, such as Japan moving to oversee trading card reselling, as validation that collectibles have matured into significant financial instruments.

Collector Crypt is continuing to expand its Web3 footprint through partnerships and API integrations. Following a collaboration with Solana DEX aggregator Jupiter that introduced trading card pack openings to new users, the project plans to expand its infrastructure to third-party brands and creators. In addition to Pokémon cards, the platform has already tokenized comic books, sports jerseys, and FIFA merchandise, with Tuam asserting that Solana remains the premier layer-1 network for scaling real-world asset commerce to mainstream audiences.
